A flying probe test system is often perceived as a system adapted for only testing basic production, prototypes, and boards that present accessibility problems. The 4040 Multimode has improved performance on probing speed, and solves the problem of accessibility; the distribution of test contact points on both sides of the board does not represent an obstacle for testing. The 4040 Multimode makes contact on both sides of the board at the same time (top + bottom). While there are 4 fast and precise probes on the top side, the 4040 Multimode adds two additional probes on the bottom side. All six probes are equipped with linear motors with optical encoders positioned on the axes, to obtain the highest performance in today's market in terms of speed and accuracy. With the 4040 Multimode, no fixture is required. For these reasons the 4040 is suitable for high production volume. There will be more and more situations in which using a flying prober system is the convenient and the preferred system to use. The 4040 Multimode fits perfectly in your specific production process thank, to the availability of a wide variety of board loading modules – automatic and manual – adaptable for any production requirement.
